Our Board of Management
Role of Committee: The role of the committee is to oversee the daily operations of the Masaka Cycling Club. The committee structure addresses all aspects of club operations including the planning for the club, domestic & national race calendar for both men and women. We pride ourselves on being inclusive and caring for the welfare of both club members and vulnerable members of the community.
Role of Patron: This is a support role to the committee chairman. Patron members are briefed on current challenges then set about breaking down the barriers to those challenges. Some of those elements include access to equipment, fundraising, identifying cycling pathways and global engagement.
Our Coaches
Senior Coach - Ssalong Bukenya
This former Ugandan National level cyclist is a legend amongst his peers. We are so very fortunate to have Bukenya guiding the youth of Masaka Cycling Club. He sets the cultural standards for the club and drives all members hard to reach their cycling dreams. We all love and respect Bukenya.
Junior Coach - Kalema Joseph
Although still capable of playing a role on the road, Joseph chose to focus on his passion and that is developing the young members. He and Ronath (womens captain) have been responsible for building our female members from zero to what they are today. A very passionate and dedicated member of our club and a great support act to Bukenya.
